Meet your new Pastoral Council members

Ex-officio members of the council are:-

Canon John & Fr. Dave who bring a vast array of expertise based on their individual and collective experiences in other parishes and other ministries.

The Council will meet monthly except during holiday periods and a summary of decisions, recommendations and general discussions will be published in the Parish News and will also be published on our website.

The formation of our first Pastoral Council

The fact that a Parish Pastoral Council was to be set up was first announced in October 2004.  For many years prior to that date, there had been in existence a ‘Board of Consultors’ who did pretty much what the Council does except that it was appointed whereas the Pastoral Council has been elected for a specific term of office.  The current situation, therefore, regularises the council’s existence and makes it more open and accountable.

During February of 2004 a series of seminars, open to all, were held in the Parish and out of that was born the Parish Pastoral Council which was formally commissioned at a special Blessing
