Our Lady’s Hall
Shortly after Fr Delaney's arrival in Drimnagh, some parishioners sought his support for the building of a Community Centre. To raise funds for such an undertaking it was decided to organise a "non-stop-draw". The ground on which the hall was to be built was acquired for the parish through the good offices of Ald Peadar Doyle. The Centre, known as Our Lady's Hall was officially opened 1954. Since then it has provided a meeting place for a variety of parish groups and organisations. In the early days a weekly variety show entitled "Parish Night" was held every Monday evening. Weekly dances were also a feature of those early days. Up to recently it hosted the annual Good Counsel Musical Society's Show.
